Section 3.9 Page 67 says:

      fourth check the SYN bit

        This step should be reached only if the ACK is ok, or there is
        no ACK, and it the segment did not contain a RST.

It should say:

      fourth check the SYN bit

        This step should be reached only if the ACK is ok, or there is
        no ACK, and the segment did not contain a RST.

Notes:

In the last sentence, the 'it' in 'and it the segment' is redundant.
