RFC 4880, "OpenPGP Message Format", November 2007Source of RFC: openpgp (sec)
Errata ID: 2220
Reported By: Constantin Hagemeier
Date Reported: 2010-04-28
Rejected by: Sean Turner
Date Rejected: 2010-07-20
Section 5.5.3. says:
- A Public-Key or Public-Subkey packet, as described above.
It should say:
- A Public-Key or Public-Subkey packet body, as described above.
There is no Public-Key packet header in the Secret-Key packet body.
Changed to editorial.
Similar to Errata 2202 and 2203, it is an idiom of the document to say “packet” when it might be more precise to say “packet body.” It is, however, clear. If there are inconsistencies in this idiom, they’d make reasonable errata.
