The URL in this reference is incorrect:

   [EUI64] "Guidelines For 64-bit Global Identifier (EUI-64)",
           http://standards.ieee.org/db/oui/tutorials/EUI64.html

It should say:

Section 4 says:

For example, the Interface Identifier for an Ethernet interface whose
   built-in address is, in hexadecimal,

                             34-56-78-9A-BC-DE

   would be

                         36-56-78-FF-FE-9A-BC-DE.

It should say:

                         32-56-78-FF-FE-9A-BC-DE.

Notes:

U/L bit inversion of 34 should be 32 instead of 36

--- Verifier note --
The example is correct: 0x34 = 0x0011 0100
The U/L bit is " the next-to-lowest order bit of the first octet of the EUI-64" 0b00000010
So flipping this bit in 0x34 gives 0x0011 0110 = 0x36 as in RFC 2464
