Section 7.20.3.2 says: 

The argument "delete" deletes properties from the target node.  The
   properties to delete are identified by substatements to the "delete"
   statement.

It should say:

The argument "delete" deletes properties from the target node.  The
   properties to delete are identified by substatements to the "deviate"
   statement.
