A non-requirement: artwork, including ASCII to SVG conversions, is the responsibility of the Authors. The RFC Editor will not create artwork.

ASCII artwork must be no more than 80 characters wide and should use an artwork tag to differentiate ASCII art from pre-formated text (see “Tags” below).

SVG artwork will be based on the SVG 1.1 (Second Edition) standard.

• There are a several accessibility limitations that will preclude certain SVG tags, such as shading and color.
  • Under consideration: limiting the available tags further by restricting tags to SVG Tiny 1.2 tags only (http://www.w3.org/TR/SVGTiny12/)
