Hello all,

One of the drafts recently announced was <draft-hoffman-rfcv3-preptool>.
[1] This is a fairly important draft when it comes to the workflow
being planned for the new format universe. This draft describes an
important part of what needs to happen to turn a xml2rfc v3 document
into the various other outputs we're expecting.

I am hoping that interested parties, especially those who like to write
code to generate their preferred formats for I-Ds, will take a look at
this and ask questions to help the design team clarify the intent of the
text. Of course, usual etiquette applies; please focus on the tools,
not why format A is stupid and why format B is all we should worry
about. Your mileage will always vary from others.

Feedback gratefully received,
Heather Flanagan, RSE
