Improvement Need
#7 Absolute figure alignment

This improvement calls for aligning figures (<artwork> elements,
specifically) to the medium rather than the text.

While working with draft-josefsson-pkix-textual, the need arose to align
figures to the absolute left, with 0 indented spaces. 0 spaces is a
requirement that the text specifically says is important for
interoperability.

Because the xml2rfc v2 vocabulary did not support setting 0 space
indenting, I had to add a new attribute @indent="0" to the <artwork>
element in the internal build of xml2rfc. The number indicates the
number of spaces to indent from the left.

For purposes of the v3 vocabulary, I recognize that the number of spaces
is not "portable" since it assumes a fixed monospace textual output
medium. Thus, I suggest the following keywords for @align attribute:
abs-left
abs-center
abs-right

which align the artwork to the absolute left, center, or right of the
medium, rather than the surrounding text.
