Section 3.1 says:

                                    If any padding or non-alphabet
   characters are encountered, the name is not a GS2 family mechanism
   name.

It should say:

                                    If any padding or non-alphanumerical
   characters are encountered, the name is not a GS2 family mechanism
   name.
