Type: Editorial

Reported By: Michael Demirtzidis
Date Reported: 2013-05-30

Section 2.1 says:

4. Self-encoding fixed-width field: A specific number of bits
is is used for the subnet number. Subnets are in use if the
high-order bit of this field is one; otherwise, the entire
local address part is used for host number.

It should say:

4. Self-encoding fixed-width field: A specific number of bits
is used for the subnet number. Subnets are in use if the
high-order bit of this field is one; otherwise, the entire
local address part is used for host number.

Notes:

I would like to report a small/minor grammatical error on page 5 of
RFC917. Point 4 of subsection 2.1 Note that the word "is" is repeated.
