2.2.1. Creation and use of RFC-specific tools
Arguments against community-supported RFC-specific tools:
Note the change from "tools" to "community-supported RFC-specific tools". The discussion in the document misses one of the topics that was brought up by many people, namely that the RFC Editor function could be the source of, and support for, the tools used to create RFCs. The cost would be borne by ISOC, but the benefit would be very wide, and would completely eliminate two of the three bullets about why RFC-creationg tools might be a bad idea.
draft-iab-rfcformatreq needs to deal with the concept of tools created for the RFC process coming from the RFC Editor.
