Hi Olaf,
These comments are about draft-iab-rfc-editor-model-06. In Appendix A:
"In 2009 the IAB is repsonsible for the selection of the RFC Series
Editor and for the selection of the Independent Submission Editor."
There is a typo (responsible).
In Section A.1:
"The names of the members of the committees, who do not need to be IAB
members or IETF participants, will be made public through the IAB and
IAOC minutes or otherwise."
I have commented on how slow the IAB and the IAOC are when it comes
to publishing their minutes. I suggest:
The names of the members of the committees, who do not need to be IAB
members or IETF participants, will be made public through the
mechanism used
by the IETF for its announcements.
As of the publication of this document, the current mechanism is
an email message to both the "ietf" and the "ietf-announce"
mailing lists.
The last paragraph comes from RFC 3777. You can drop it if you view
it as unnecessary.
In Section A.2.3:
The main intent is to select the superior candidate taking
considerations of continuity of the series into account.
Replace "series" with "RFC Series".
Regards,
-sm
