Subject: RFC Editor Transition to the RFC 5378 Copyright Notice and Legends
You are receiving this message because you are listed as an author of
at least one document in the RFC Editor queue.
[Note: This message does not apply to documents from the Independent
Stream. The publication of Independent submissions is temporarily on
hold while the RFC Editor works on the copyright notice and legends to
be applied to the Independent stream.]
The publication of BCP 78 / RFC 5378 affects your document in the RFC
Editor queue. As of 10 November 2008, the RFC Editor has been
instructed to publish documents with the copyright notice and legends
adopted by the IETF by the publication of BCP 78 / RFC 5378. The new
copyright notice and legends to be included for the IETF, IAB, and
IRTF stream documents is as follows:
Copyright (c) YYYY IETF Trust and the persons identified as the
document authors. All rights reserved.
This document is subject to BCP 78 and the IETF Trust's Legal
Provisions Relating to IETF Documents (http://trustee.ietf.org/
license-info) in effect on the date of publication of this
document. Please review these documents carefully, as they describe
your rights and restrictions with respect to this document.
Also note that the "Legal Provisions Relating to IETF Documents" (see
These Legal Provisions are effective as of November 10, 2008 (the
Documents that were approved for publication before 10 November 2008,
but will be published subsequent to that date, are being published
with the new copyright notice and legends.
If you do not accept the RFC 5378 copyright notice and legends, please
let us know, and we will delay the publication of your document while
the IETF, the Trust, and the IAB work on solutions. Alternatively,
you may withdraw your document from the publication queue entirely.
If you do accept the RFC 5378 copyright notice and legends, you do not
need to let us know at this time. When your document reaches AUTH48
state, we will ask that _each_ of the authors provide us with an
explicit acknowledgment of and approval for the publication of your
document with the new copyright notice and legends.
These are temporary measures until the issues surrounding the new
copyright notice and legends have been resolved.
Please contact copyright-questions at ietf.org if you have any concerns.
