It should say:

   ROUTE:4.

Section 7.3.1 says:

   Although it was not designed as an exterior gateway protocol, RIP
   (described in Section [7.2.4]) is sometimes used for inter-AS
   routing.

It should say:

   Although it was not designed as an exterior gateway protocol, RIP
   (described in Appendix F.2) is sometimes used for inter-AS
   routing.
