Section 2.1 says:

   To guarantee the verifiability of signatures on as many mail clients
   as possible, X.509v3 certificates used by certified email systems
   MUST abide by the profile found in section 6.5.

It should say:

   To guarantee the verifiability of signatures on as many mail clients
   as possible, X.509v3 certificates used by certified email systems
   MUST abide by the profile found in section 5.5.
