Notes:

Avoiding the term "Signature" in accordance with the Standards
mentioned. The NIST consistently uses the acronyms "SHA" for
"Secure Hash Algorithm" and "SHS" for "Secure Hash Standard"
and precisely distinguished between these two terms.
